Peter Rugg
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MacArthur Energy. Mr. Rugg received his B.S. Degree with Honors in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University in 1970, following a BA from Columbia in 1969. His other academic work includes a 4 year stint as Adjunct Professor at Fordham University Graduate School of Business in New York.
Mr. Rugg worked at the Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of J.P. Morgan for 23 years in banking, project finance, mergers, capital markets and corporate finance providing advisory and financing services to energy, mining, chemical and infrastructure companies.
During the 1990s, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Triton Energy a NYSE listed international oil and gas exploration and production company.
Since 1999, Mr. Rugg has been a director, consultant and operating officer of a number emerging growth technology companies, three of which executed initial public offerings on exchanges in the US and Europe.
He holds several patents issued or pending.
Dr. Kenneth D. Hughes
Chief Technology Officer of MacArthur Energy, Dr. Hughes holds a B.S. degree from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA and earned his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Purdue University. Dr. Hughes has both an academic and industrial background. As Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Georgia Tech, Professor Hughes led research projects in innovative environmental and sensor technologies. He has consulted and held executive technology positions at a variety of startup Cleantech technology companies. He has broad experience in microbiology, sterilization, water filtration, composite materials, dual-use binary chemical systems, and clean energy including pre-combustion removal of HAP from coal, and growth and development of a variety of dedicated biomass energy crops and other fuels. He is experienced in working with the SBIR program with agencies including DoD and the EPA. Dr. Hughes has over 20 patents issued and pending.
Joseph L. Parsons
Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Parsons holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration (International Finance) from Boston University, and an MBA, University of Connecticut in Accounting and Finance. Joseph Parsons is a seasoned finance executive with 15 years diverse management experience including leading two successful start-up retail firms, a property development concern, and most recently managing the merger and growth of a business services company. Prior to joining MacArthur Energy, Mr. Parsons held strategic management responsibility for accounting, treasury, human resources, risk management, financial reporting, budget and forecasting as Chief Financial Officer for Northeast Property Group, Inc. Joseph brings strategic financial thinking, budget and planning, treasury management and administrative management for insurance, tax planning, human resources, benefits, and contract management.
Chief Information Officer. Hadley Beeman earned her undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna University in California, and she holds a masters degree from London University. She is a recognized authority in social networking and crowd sourcing in applications to government communications and information management, particularly in the United Kingdom.Hadley Beeman
