Commercial and Industrial Coal Boilers

Utilities
Many older utility boilers are inefficient and sub-compliant because there is no space or technical capability for renovation and compliance under New Source Review regulations. These plants may run expensive imported coals, or be used only for peaking to remain in compliance. A super compliant engineered coal fuel can make the difference in economic viability for such plants.
In a time when most states in the US require varying levels of renewable fuel in the mix, there is no need to suffer down-rating or a lack of mill power from trying to run a wet, green, low Btu biomass fuel in a coal environment. MacArthur Energy's patent-pending technology combines biomass and coal into a homogeneous engineered coal fuel with the specifications that you need for:

Worried about biomass ash and slagging? Our biomass partners grow algae in a reduced salt environment that reduces the formation of slag causing alkalis. Algae growth can be enhanced with a range of waste nutrients depending on location, including farm waste with high fertilizer content and CO2 from a fossil fuel combustion boiler. This biomass can then be upgraded by MacArthur Energy to remove moisture, Chlorine and Mercury and combined with coal into engineered coal fuel.
